Mill Point 

Defined by understated opulence, Mill Point takes advantage of its landmark location. We were approached by a client seeking a ‘forever home’ that feels private and safe with subtle Art Deco stylistic influences.

The site’s significant fall from back to front was advantageous in capturing the views across the Swan River foreshores and the city of Perth.

In keeping with the need for privacy, the middle level becomes an indoor pool with panoramic views and a distinct day spa feel. The contemporary house also features a cellar, which receives natural light from the pool and has a large viewing window that looks outwards to the impressive views.

Natural materials dominate throughout; natural stone cladding, stacked stone and timber imbue warmth and underpin the building’s timeless solidity.

Keeping with the quasi-Art Deco theme, subtle curves and fine detailing quietly hint at another era. The horizontal banding of the tiles softens the facade while providing a high-end finish, complete with a solid custom curved corner.
